AICTE Plans Tech-Tonic Shift; To Set Up Four Teacher Training Institutes To Upgrade Candidates’ Skills

All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) will be setting up four teacher training institutes to help candidates keep up with the latest developments in technical education, Financial Express has reported. Chairman of AICTE, Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, told the media about the plan on the sidelines of The National Conference on Indian Higher Education: Quality Assurance, Accreditation & Ranking. 50% engineering seats across country go vacant, AICTE plans to merge institutes

With nearly 50% of seats in engineering colleges across the country remaining vacant, the technical education department is planning to merge institutes with high vacancies.
