The Staffordshire University has invited applications for the 3D Design: Ceramics BA (honours) programme run by the School of Art and Design. A statement issued by the university said that the university has the most extensive ceramic facilities in the United Kingdom. The ceramics degree course provides a design-led creative experience of ceramics within a broad subject context and brings an ethos of responsible design to the study of markets and manufacture.
Students opting for the Ceramics BA (Hons) programme will get to experience a breadth of materials and 3D workshop skills before specialising in the area of ceramics as well as transferable skills for the jobs market.
The programme will lay emphasis on experimentation in a wide range of making processes and techniques including both traditional and new digital technologies, the statement added. The duration of the course is three years. Approximately 70% in Class 12 and evidence of English language is also required which could be IELTS and / or CBSE, ICSE and selected metro boards at Class 12 English. The course commences from September 2016.
The last date for application is February 29 and students can apply via the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service, the statement said. For each subsequent year a student studies at Staffordshire they will receive a scholarship based on their end-of-year grades.
